Travel NICU RN - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

We currently have a client in Escondido, CA looking for a Travel NICU RN - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse!

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Neonatal ICU (NICU) RN to care for sick and/or premature newborn babies who need to be cared for and monitored, sometimes for weeks or months, until they are hopefully healthy and developed enough to go home.

Contract Assignment - 13 Weeks (Temporary)
Shift: 3x12 Nights

Being Compassionate and sensitive is a prerequisite for the profession. The ideal Candidates goes a step further by being a critical thinker and fast to act with emergencies.

Requirements:
Motivated candidates who are looking for career growth
AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers
BSN from accredited nursing program, and proper licensure
Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients, and families
Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience

Responsibilities:
Administer medications and monitor vital signs
Provide vital nutrients to premature newborns
Ensure proper breathing and maturing
Assist physicians to create a treatment plan
Keep, maintain, and update records of the patient's care
Educate parents and family on care procedures after departure
All other responsibilities as needed
