Sales Representative (Industrial) Newark, Full Time, Permanent £30,000-£40,000 An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Representative to join a global organisation based within their Newark offices. Job Purpose To deliver sales, margin and market share growth to direct Industrial customers in the relevant sales area. To support development of key strategic MRO end-user relationships to ensure the delivery of the brand pull. To identify and convert new OEM direct business opportunities into sustainable customer status. THE ROLE Create and achieve sales and margin budget - focusing on direct customer accounts to achieve Industrial, Sector and Product strategies. Identify and convert (Hunting) OEM sales opportunities in line with the expectations of the UK Territory strategy. Identify and engage with key end user (MRO) accounts in the sales area. Manage distributor contact base and build positive working relationships to ensure efficient running of the business. Provide an efficient and effective interface between the customer and all departments within the Business Unit (e.g. customer service, applications engineering, supply and finance). Negotiate customer pricing where necessary, within agreed guidelines, to achieve margin targets covered by budget, Rules of Engagement and Sector strategy. Manage the balance of activities between OEM and Aftermarket customers in line with the strategic direction of the UK Territory (working closely with the Aftermarket and OEM Department Managers). THE CANDIDATE The ideal Sales Representative will be able to demonstrate the following: A level education 3 years Sales role or equivalent experience Average 3 years direct sales experience in industrial sales Achievement orientated Ability to use corporate IT systems efficiently and effectively. Commercial acumen including pricing strategies, customer vendor rating. Ability to prepare budgets based on detailed analysis of customers, products, product costs/prices, and competitor threats/opportunities. Initiative and energy to focus on priority areas.
