A senior HR role based just north of Liverpool. You're a people focused, commercially astute, HR professional who is able to create and deliver a strategy that will deliver against our business needs. With a £multi-million turnover and 300+ employees, Head of HR, Senior HR Business Partner or Lead HR would all be positions you either currently hold or have previously held. What will we do for you: Offer complete ownership in an autonomous environment. Provide the resources for you to support both the HR team and wider STL to become more effective and proficient, adding value to the business. Give you the authority to implement the processes and systems needed to continue to facilitate change. Head of HR / Senior HRBP Role purpose: You'll provide strategic HR and hands on support for a continuously operational manufacturing site employing c300 people, including a temporary labour pool. Reporting to the UK Managing Director, you'll be assisting, advising and supporting the Senior Leadership Team and all staff on HR issues - providing a strategic approach to people centric activity. Above all you'll lead on the continuous improvement of a 'people first' culture and be proactive in people planning with a particular focus on development and succession. Head of HR / Senior HRBP Responsibilities: You're a commercially astute, driven and experienced HR professional. Rather than list what is most likely to be on your CV, let's give you an insight into what the business needs are: The Managing Director needs a Head of HR / Senior HRBP to deliver a HR service and people strategy that will build organisational capability through effective resourcing. Someone who can identify and mange company-driven organisational change programmes to deliver a high performing workforce. Someone who can truly engage with the SLT just as easily as the shop floor. You'll enjoy being visible and ultimately sharing your knowledge and expertise in your subject matter. Being situated in our current location for over 60+ years we have a diverse range of employees from long servers to temporary staff. Continuing to win hearts (and some cynical minds) will be key. You need to be able to offer a balanced view between HR KPl's, metrics and measures to ensure you can commercially deliver information to the SLT, whilst being able to push back on those metrics to put in place development plans for all staff - where is our future talent? Work with and impress on the SLT what information the HR team NEED to be able to supply the support they want - staffing, training, development, succession planning etc. Head of HR / Senior HRBP Requirements: Essentially you will: Be CIPD qualified. Have a proven track record of HR Management (ideally team of 3) within a manufacturing environment. Have worked most likely in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial, Automotive or Aerospace sectors. Have experience of working on an unionised site with 300+ staff. Have previously taken ownership for creating and implementing HR strategies which are people focused (particularly training and succession planning). Have implemented HR requirements and standards to other departments to ensure delivery, but critically managing expectations. Have the ability to assess, create or improve HR KPl's and the process of collating and converting the data into commercially driven actions. Be experienced in recruitment from shop floor to management level. Be totally committed to the pursuit of best HR practice.
