Gap Personnel are currently looking for a Canteen Supervisor to join the facilities team. This is a permanent role, working Monday to Friday, 7 am - 3 pm!!!! What will you be doing in this role? As a Canteen Supervisor you will be responsible for a team of three, working in a modern subsidised internal restaurant, providing a friendly, efficient and cost-effective catering service to colleagues, making sure that the business is operating to the highest standards of food safety. The Ideal candidate: You will have great communication and customer service skills, with proven experience in working in accordance with all related policies and procedures (COSSH) and delivering and maintaining a high level of food hygiene, food safety and health and safety standards. Key skills and experience: Great communication and customer service skills, Good stakeholder management, Professional Catering Qualification e.g. NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery, City and Guilds 706/1/2 or equivalent Level 1-2 Allergen Awareness Management and Nutrition Awareness Level 1 awareness of Health and Safety in the Workplace Proven experience working in accordance with all related policies and procedures (COSHH, food safety) Financial awareness and stock management What we offer: Competitive salary (£22,536.88 pa) 25 days holiday + bank holidays Contributory pension Volunteer day Car benefit scheme Perks and benefits that include things like: free eye tests, a cycle to work scheme, retail discounts and a subsidised on-site canteen Free car parking A warm and welcoming team environment Development and a chance to build a rewarding career Your key day-to-day responsibilities could include: Organising, leading, managing performance and motivating the catering team, Monitoring the quality of the product and service provided, Managing the food and beverage provision for functions and events, To plan, control and direct the production and service of meals, To negotiate best value contracts with suppliers and maintain stock levels, To be accountable for inspections undertaken by Local Authority, Environmental Health Officer making sure we meet all necessary requirements, Ensuring Health and Safety (H&S) and, COSHH regulations are strictly observed Ensure that all Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) controls are in place and signed off, To make sure spend remains within budget and ensuring value for money, Ensure that all Allergen data is maintained and kept up to date. Make sure all required staff training (including by Food Standards Authority) is in date and completed, Ensuring cleaning of all catering and eating areas daily and the annual deep cleans. gap personnel who are operating as an employment agency All adverts are refreshed weekly, applications to be submitted by close of play Friday.
