GxP Recruitment invites applications on behalf of our biopharmaceutical client in Grangemouth, central Scotland where an exciting new opportunity now exists for an Analytical Development Team Leader to join their team on a permanent basis. Job Purpose: The purpose of the role of Analytical Development Team Leader is to manage projects and/teams and act as technical expert responsible for the development, validation, technical transfer and troubleshooting of test methods. Key duties include: Manage the training, development and administration of team members. Perform assigned work as agreed with the Analytical Development Manager. Ensure efficient use of time to complete the assigned objectives Lead projects and/or teams to deliver analytical method development, qualification and validation studies and ensuring the data and reports are suitable for regulatory filings. Act as in-house expert for analytical methods. Support for forward planning and management of resources (staff, equipment and infrastructure). Maintain laboratory areas, ensuring procedures are complied with to meet client, regulatory GMP and safety requirements. Provide training and troubleshooting support to production and stability Quality Control groups. Engage in and lead specified compliance and improvement projects, as necessary. Identify opportunities for improved methods of working to enhance efficiency, cost control and safety/GMP performance. Liaise with client technical groups, and where necessary provide advice and direction on assay requirements. Lead method development, technical transfer, qualification and validation activities. Ensure reports, documents and CMC regulatory sections are prepared appropriately Lead and ensure timely close out of deviations, change controls The ideal candidate: Degree qualified in a relevant scientific discipline Significant previous experience in analytical, with sound working knowledge of GMP Excellent interpersonal and team building skills as required for line management responsibilities Assay experience HPLC, wet chemistry, SDS Page, ELISA, cell-based assays
